The CDC or U.S. Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) recommends drinking eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily but more importantly it’s the quality of the water you drink which is directly related to your health.

The top disease outbreaks from water are Giardia, Hepatitis A, Norovirus and Shigella.  The issue is organic and inorganic matter, viruses and bacteria along with a host of other pollutants. We are talking about pesticides, herbicides, feces and urine from animals.

Water can also have high levels of lead which are linked to physical and mental development, learning difficulties and short attention span in children. All of the water in Treasure Valley has Arsenic in the drinking water that leads to nerve, heart, skin and blood vessel damage. Even a deadly disease known as Cryptosporidium which causes diarrhea can become deadly.

Your body is made up of 70% water and a week without water causes dehydration and death. We tested  bottled water to see how they measured up and let me tell you I wouldn’t drink any of the expensive major brands.  The more expensive the bottle water was the worst it tested for chemicals and contaminants. Even the so-called smartest water did not hold up to the advertisements. Most of the bottled water was worse for you than your own tap water. Even tap water has contaminants, chlorine and hard water (calcium and magnesium) that plays havoc on your joints.

The city adds chlorine in the water to remove the bacteria yet chlorine may cause more problems with your health. There is only one best alternative and that is to purchase a water purification system fand a reverse osmosis system for your drinking and cooking water.
